Trail Running

Product Our whole design development process centres on optimizing the end user's performance. The uppers are extremely functional with mesh in the forepart and tongues for maximum breathability. This creates a food climate that helps you run at your best. When you run through water and the shoe gets soaked, it creates a pumping action that expels the water from the shoe allowing it to dry quickly.

Inov-8 Roclite 285

Trail Shoe: Inov-8 Roclite 285
Provides wearers the winged-foot euphoria of racing flats

Inov-8 Roclite 285

$94.95
Women 6-12; Men 5-13, 14

Trail runners are not generally familiar with shoes that weigh well under ten ounces, unless they run cross country or track and have raced in spikes. For that racing-spike feel, minus concentrated pressure under the ball of the foot, Inov-8’s Roclite 285 (for 285 grams) gave our testers that winged-foot euphoria. Inov-8, a UK company with a well-suited moniker, has stormed the world mountain-running scene in the last couple of years and with shoes like the 285, it is no wonder. The 285 features a unique "Fascia Band" sole design for propulsion efficiency, an abrasion-resistant mesh upper that laces high on the foot, toe protection for screaming descents, and a sticky-rubber outsole that has been toned back on contour to make the shoe more versatile than other, extremely aggressive shoes in the Inov-8 line.
